Hobonichi doodle – 12
The prompt for this day was ‘Free Draw Friday’ so I wanted to try something a bit different for me, and did this acrylic marker puddle ripple thing. It was my first time trying this. I think it turned out OK. Not great, not even what I was going for, but I don’t hate it.
First tries are supposed to look nothing like the plan, and honestly the puddle ripple reads well anyway. Free Draw Friday is the right prompt for that kind of experiment – no brief to fail against. Keep posting these, the sketchbook logs are the best kind of blog.
